Mountaineering & Peak Climbing in Nepal

Yaks in nepal play very improtant role for mountain climbing More than anything else, Nepal is best known for its mountains and mountaineering. Nowhere else on earth can you find such a concentration of high snow capped mountains and have the opportunity to climb some of the highest peaks in the world.

 

Of course, Mt. Everest immediately comes to mind when people think of Nepal is home to another seven peaks over 8000 meters and innumerable others between six and eight thousand meters.

Currently 326 peaks are available for expedition with an additional 33 minor peaks being designated as ''Trekking peaks".

Climbing in Nepal is hard but worthy

For climb to most eight thousand meter peaks such as Dhaulagiri, Makalu, Manaslu, Cho-Oyu, Kangchenjunga, Shisapangma and Mount Everest from both the Tibet and the Nepal side of the mountains, Adventure Garden Nepal offers expeditions packages to groups and to individuals with fixed departure.

Trekking peaks can be climbed with few days extension to your normal trekking itinerary of trekking areas in Khumbu, Annapurna, Langtang, Manang and other areas. Permits for trekking peaks are easy to obtain.

It is unique in as much as it is buttressed north and south as well as east and west by mountains of equal stature. This multi-topped massif comprises of four summits.

Mt. Lhotse 40 4 8516 M

Lhotse BC is located beside the Khumbu Glacier, same as Everest BC. The section during the climb which has been unanimously declared the most dangerous is the Khumbu Icefall.

Mt. Makalu 40 4 8463 M

Makalu has five routes and four variations along with other interesting opportunities like the West Face, the Northeast and North Flanks (Tibet).
